Simple Safety Precautions in Doing Kiteboarding

[ad_1]

Kiteboarding, though anyone can do it, is a physically demanding fun sport. And just like any other sports, it requires safety measures to avoid unnecessary injuries or accidents. You would not want to immaturely spend your vacation on a wheelchair when you should be out having a great time in the water with your friends, would you? To prevent nasty endings, you may want to try on these two common safety features in kiteboarding - the 'The Chicken Loop Quick Release' and 'The Safety Leash Quick Release.' You employ the Chicken Loop Safety if you need to quickly de-power your kite.

You'll be needing this technique in times that you kite's lines are tangled with other objects, such as trees or kites from other riders, while it is still powered. You may also use this when you are overpowered by the kite and that you are losing enough control. Likewise, the chicken loop release is helpful when you'd like to land your kite and you no one els e is around to help you. Using Fone kites in kiteboarding also helps in promoting your safety as a rider. To have an idea how it's done, you need to know what a chicken loop is. It is the loop that you'll need to hook into your harness, attaching you to the kite. When released, the kite pulls the bar away from you. And though it leaves one or two line attached to you, the release will cause your kite to slack and lose its shape.

When this happens, the kite can no longer generate any power providing you the relief you need. The other feature, which is the Safety Leash, is designed to de-power your keeping it connected to you. Unlike the Chicken Loop Release, doing this maneuverually completely detaches the entire kite setup from you, allowing you to freely move in the water. If at all possible, you should only do this if you think that staying attached to kite will cause you some damage or is strictly painful. In this technique there is actually a risk of lo sing your gear. Primarily, the Safety Leash Release is done whenever it is quite dangerous or painful if you've stayed attached to the kite. There are instances when you also need to deploy this in situations where your kite is pulling you into a perilous situation, or when a boat crosses your lines dragging and your kite with it. To know how this technique is done, you need to know what a safety leash is just as you need to know the chicken loop.

The safety leash is a mechanism that connects you to your harness and the kite's bar. You can detach it by a quick release located right beside the harness. Kiteboarding is fun, but can be dangerous. If fear is getting the better of you, these two simple features should boost your confidence and make you try the waters.
